The Furness Haven Reviews

The accommodation was as expected, and we had a very good stay. However, there was only heating on the ground floor due to a heating fault. We were pleased that the owners took the issue seriously and that they provided us with portable heaters. One other issue is the lack of information in the accommodation info pack on waste segregation requirements and how to abide by them, also the info pack didn't tell us how the heating system worked and how to adjust it.

We loved the stay at Furness Haven! The house is very well kitted out for anyevery occasion and we loved the large dining space. The rooms were comfortable and the house was always warm which can be difficult in large houses. The hot tub was a lovely addition & the hosts were super helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for a great stay!
The house was a great size for our family and we had plenty of room and the owners had great communication. The house was lovely and warm on our arrival. We had a couple of issues while we were there and although we sorted them ourselves at the time, the owners were more than willing to help even though it was over christmas time. There are some parts of the property that good do with some maintenance like the cracked tiles in the downstairs bathroom which also has a sliding door which isn't that private as it doesn't close well. The door to the back lounge from the hallway needs a full repair to secure the hinges as it did come off its hinges and could be a safety issue.the shower upstairs leaked to the bathroom below for some reason. I appreciate it is an old house and while generally in good condition, some things could do with an update. We enjoyed our stay and with a few tweaks we would have no issue rebooking again.

Stayed here for a long weekend with the whole family, such a lovely house. Everyone enjoyed the weekend and were in awe at the rooms within the house, the hot tub and the games room was very popular with the kids and adults, I would recommend this place. Perfect house for a chill, family break ! Everything was as described on this website and even better in person.
Overall a great stay for a large group bringing a few families together for our annual trip. Good sized rooms. We took our own airfryer and some larger baking trays but that was our personal choice knowing what meals we had planned. Good that it had 2 dishwashers. The inside bins if Im being picky need a clean out. We took our own tea towels too which we needed, thats not uncommon but I would advise to do. Kids loved the hot tub and games room. Darts were missing so we just bought some. Owners are very responsive on the occasions we needed to ask something. Thank you for our stay.

A Truly Wonderful Stay in the Lake District Perfect for Large Groups! We recently stayed at this beautiful selfcatering house in the Lake District with a group of 22 people, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The house was spotlessly clean and had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us all feel right at home. The layout worked perfectly for a large group like ours there was plenty of space for everyone to relax, unwind, and enjoy each other's company without ever feeling crowded. The children were completely entertained with the brilliant game room, and the adults had just as much fun! Whether it was playing games, cooking together, or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings, there was something for everyone. The location is simply stunning nestled in the heart of the Lake District with beautiful views and easy access to nature. It felt like a real escape. A special mention must go to the wonderful owners, who clearly put a lot of love and care into the place. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches really made our stay special. You can tell theyve gone above and beyond to make sure guests have an unforgettable experience. Wed absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a 5star getaway with family or friends. Cant wait to return!
The owners, Susana and Sam, were very quick to respond to any issues. Lovely house. Plenty of chairs, crockery, glasses etc often an issue in houses for big groups and 2 dishwashers they deserve 5 for that alone! We weren't sure whatwhen to do the bins not an issue when we phoned. Kids loved the hot tub water could do with a change! And the lady who came to clean at the end was lovely too.
Amazing place to stay something thats not on the photos is their massive garden space which we managed to use all weekend long! Amazing location and amazing house! Thankyou for our stay
Had a wonderful stay at the Furness Haven for my wife's 40th birthday. Spacious house with plenty of rooms and living space. The big dining room was also handy and the large hot tub went down a treat. Location also great for exploring some of the sites nearby like the Abbey and some lovely coastline for walks. Definitely recommend, many thanks!
