Beach Walk Reviews

Excellent property, very comfortable, very well equipped . Hope to be back, would highly recommend. Jan and family.
Christopher
Just back from a weeks stay over Christmas at Beach Walk. Eight adults and three dogs, the house had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack of wines, biscuits and cakes etc. was very generous and gratefully received. Great location, just a few minutes walk to the beach, great for the dogs. The fully enclosed garden also very handy. Would not hesitate to recommend Beach Walk to anyone looking for a great holiday by the sea with fabulous beaches and castles and staying in the lovely village of Beadnell.
Very nice property in a lovely location. Ideal for our party of 7 humans and 3 dogs. Great secret path down to the fabulous beach. We were there in October and were surprised how busy everywhere was. Would recommend booking in advance the local restaurants as they were all fully booked whilst we were there.
Party of 6 adults and two labradors. The house is excellent, we used 3 of the 4 bedrooms, everyone found the bedrooms very comfortable and clean. The showers all very good. October holiday and the house is nice and warm. The kitchen is very well equipped, everything you need. Enclosed garden, plenty of garden furniture to sit outside. WiFi was good. The owner has made the house very welcoming, the decor just makes you feel on holiday. Nice touch greeted with a bottle wine and box of super biscuits, very nice. Pathway to the beach from back garden was a treat, enclosed and safe for dogs as no cars and only 2 minute walk. Super spot to visit lots of places around Northumberland. Walk on the beach to Seahouses, check tides though. Its less than 2 miles, great for dog walk. We found everywhere dog friendly. We had a super time, thank you.
A lovely house clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped only thing missing a grater. Excellent location loved the short cut to Beadnell beach. Dogs loved the garden. The welcome gifts were lovely too.
Nice enough house very clean but not enough seating for 8 people. Grass in garden very patchy and uneven for kids to play on. Upstairs snug area was very comfy but I have never been in a property before that has 4 bedrooms not one of which had a wardrobe !! very inconvenient for 8 people to try and hang things from just 3 hooks in each room.
House lovely. Had a great stay.
Beautifully clean, well presented and well equipped property. In a great location on a modern but quiet and friendly estate just a two minute walk from the beach. Spacious and airy rooms again all very clean and well maintained. As a pet friendly property no signs of wear and tear or pet smells. We took 6 adults a teenager and a 3 year old and had plenty of room throughout the house.the garage had plenty of space for beach kit and extra fridge freezer and washer dryer was really handy. If you are looking to stay in a nice village , walking distance to a fantastic example of a Northumbrian beach this property is perfect. Cant recommend it enough and would definitely be looking to return.
Michael
Fantastic property, perfectly located. We had a great time. Everything we needed was there and it was lovely and clean. Thank you the kids loved the little snug at the top
Great location and a really nice property. Access to the beach and local cafe were great. Parking was fine. Access to surrounding area first class. Photos make the downstairs look a little bigger than it really is, but the second living room on the 2nd floor is great.
Deborah
A fabulous dog friendly house in a brilliantl ocation. Perfect for 8 adults as 4 great size bedroom's all with ensuites. Open plan kitchen, diner and lounge was a great social space to all be together, yet the top floor snug was a great escape space if you wanted some quiet time. Big secure garden at the back was fab for the dogs and the secret path leading direct to the beach was ideal. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need and plenty parking space. The welcome gift was much appreciated
Pamela
Lovely house with everything you need . Ideal location for dog walks .Had an enjoyable Christmas there .
The house was in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from beadnell Bay. The accomodation was spacious and very well equipped. The reason we have given it a 3 star and not a 4 star was due to the acrid smell on the second floor which made for an overall unpleasant experience. We were called an hour before check in to say that there had been a leak and whilst the leak had been fixed, there was a stain on one of the bedroom ceilings. When we arrived the carpet in the top bedroom was wet through as was the ceiling of the room below. There was a very strong smell which got worse as the week went on. To such an extent that we had to sleep with the velux windows wide open each night. We were only able to do this as we were blessed with good weather, had it been raining, we would have been forced to close the windows and the smell room would have been unbearable. Such a shame as I think this would have been a very comfortable stay if it were not for the smell. We would advise to check this issue has been rectified before booking .
Michael
We thought that the property was well equipped. Overall we had very positive thoughts. The bathrooms have no illuminated mirrors over the wash basins and no shaver plugs making shaving very challenging. Quite unusual. There was no full length mirror anywhere which my Wife and Daughter found difficult and dissapointing. The property is well placed for the beaches and local bars retaurants.
Michele
We have stayed in Beadnell on many occasions. So we knew the area, we have a dog and for us it's the walking we get to do, so the property apart from being very crtable and clean is very central to what we need, and a very short walk to the dog friendly beach
Brenda
A lovely property close to the beach, both sandy and rocky which appealed to us all. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, plenty of bathrooms and facilities to accommodate us all. The enclosed garden, an essential for us having 3 children and 2 dogs, is both private and wellmaintained. Offroad parking for 3 cars also essential. We had a great holiday in this lovely house.
Andrew
Beach Walk was a delight. The house was spotlessly clean with every facility thought of and provided for. The garden was secure with a perfect patio for relaxing in. The house has quick and easy access to the beach and as such was perfect for us and our fourlegged friends.
I cant believe the fridge in the kitchen hasnt been replaced since our last visit! ! There are so many comments in the visitors book that mention it as well! Otherwise the house is perfect. Its so annoying about the fridge. Please do something about it.
A great holiday house, very well situated for the beach with the 'secret path' leading from the back garden round to the beach, our dogs loved it. The house itself was very clean and tidy and very well equipped, much better than previous houses we've visited, we only needed to take food! There were six adults, one child and two dogs, the house suited us very well and the 'sky lounge' as we named it was an added bonus. The top floor shower leaked on the last day but we were assured that it would be fixed on our departure.
Visited June 2024, Lovely house, this was our 2nd visit, ideal for access to the beach. Very quiet and clean area. 4 single over 65's so the 4 ensuite rooms were lovely. Ample living space including the top floor living room. The property was well maintained and clean, this includes the rear garden. Would certainly consider another visit.
Aileen
We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back. It was very clean and comfortable. I called a number to report a leak in one of the bedrooms it was coming from the top shower room and we think it was when the big shower head was used. We put a tin on the bed to catch drips. Also the door stopper in hall was broken. Apart from that we loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.
Alison
This was a beautiful property, spacious and with high quality furnishings. Sadly not all of the cookware was clean and the bathroom radiators needed dusting. The previous occupiers or cleaners had not ensured that the nonrecycling bin had been put out, so it was overflowing. The door handle between the hallway and the spacious openplan kitchenliving area needed attention as it was loose. None of the above detracted from our restful holiday in a perfect location, so close to the beach, coastal walks and Breathtaking views.
There were 5 adults and 3 children at the property for 5 days out of the 7 but it never felt cramped or too small. It was well presented and clean. One of the showers was a bit too small for adult use and another shower was a bit underpowered. Overall though it did everything we wanted and we would be happy to return.

A nice property which was very comfortable for our family group of 5 adults, 1 infant and 3 dogs. We visited slightly out of season, in mid March, so its nice to report that the house warmed up very quickly when the central heating was switched on. Very handy garage space with all the white goodsutilities youd need. There was also a really nice 2nd floor living room which was a relaxing place to sit with our dogs and look out of the huge window. The garden was totally enclosed and secure which was great because our dogs are expert escapologists! The house is part of a new ish estate and it felt like at least 80 of the homes were holiday properties. Out of season it was quiet. The beach is only 3 minutes walk away via the garden back gate and a secret footpath. Beadnell Beach itself is a beautiful curved bay with a small picturesque harbour. If we had to nit pick, the TV on the wall in the living room couldve done with being mounted on an extendable, adjustable bracket as, without it, only 2 or 3 people could watch it comfortably. Its only a minor observation though.
Beautiful house amazing location, well equipped,
Annette
Beautiful house with everything we needed. Just a minutes walk to the beach and so convenient to have The Landings for a coffee after walking the dogs. Sadly we left early due to Storm Babet brewing but would love to visit again. We will definitely recommend to friends.
2 of 4 showers non operational for duration of the two weeks. With water dripping from ceiling on to single bed fortunately an unoccupied bed when first used not used again for holiday. WC leaking repaired mid break, sink also leaking in twin room. Kettle leaking Washing machine leaking Keys got stuck externally in back door Lightsbulbs not working in several rooms Generally stayed in 2021 and found the property in reasonable order. Recent stay in 2023 was not as satisfactory, we would not revisit this property.
I was very upset that my deposit could not be transferred from one property to another. I understand losing my deposit if I didnt rebook. But surely changing the propertyto a more expensive one in February for a booking in late July doesnt warrant being told this property may not be rebooked. This was for the height of the holiday season in Bamburgh!! The property in Beadnell was absolutely perfect for us. Within a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Clean, comfortable and spacious. This was for Granny, Mum & Dad, 4 teenagers and dogs. Brilliant. 1 minute to excellent RestaurantBeach Bar. Freezer needed replacing and problem one day with shower but that sorted out within 24hrs.
Neville
A beautiful cottage close to the beach fully equipped with everything youd need. The sea is a couple of minutes walk away with a sandy beach as far as you can see. There is also a very good place to eat called the landings which serves a good selection of seafood and burgers,

The property was spotless and perfect for us and we would definitely book again. The house was the best we&rsquove stayed in our 4th year on the trot in Beadnell and the weather was perfect too!
Excellent modern house, very well equipped and only 2 minutes walk to the beach. We enjoyed a stormy week with lots of beach walks with our dogs.
