Clock Tower Reviews

Rachel
The place was stunning. The location was great for visiting family and adventures. We stayed over Christmas and it had everything we needed for a stress free, relaxing break. Would love to go again to get more use of the garden.
We are regulars to this property with my family and babies and they dont want to leave when theyre there and talk about going back all year to their fun house Even better touches this year with the wine and biscuits on arrival too. It has become our annual family week away in the lakes now and will continue to be, it feels like a home from home. So great job and thank you.
This was the perfect place for a weekend away with friends. We were all very impressed with the property and everything that came with it. Very much like a home from home.
Timothy
Amazing house that has the wow factor, well equipped, cozy, quiet and comfy. Well positioned to access the south lakes.
Teresa
This was a lovely, well maintained property. The stairs are steep and the beams in the top bedrooms were low, as we had a few head bumps. But on the whole we had a great weekend full of laughter and happy family memories.
The property is absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The property has amazing character and charm and is spacious, clean and tidy throughout. It was a pleasure to stay there. thank you
Samantha
A wonderful and immaculate place to stay. The facilities lacked for nothing. Daily maintenance of the hot tub was very reassuring. The reality exceeded our expectations of this magical property. A true hidden gem.
Already fed back. Property excellent and exceeded expectations.
Beautiful property with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Nice touch with the hot tub towels and bottle of fizz. Gorgeous gardens and everything was inside and out was stylish.
We had the best time was so relaxed, perfect weekend away

It is a beautiful building in a lovely location. It was so peaceful! Our baby girl is 5 months old and we had a wonderful first holiday with her there. The information pack was a nice touch, we went to the creamery and a meal and a little explore of Cartmel and went a bit further afield to WinderemereAmbleside it was a brilliant location for the south lakes.
Great property with seabeach views and walking distance to Cartmel and good pubsrestaurants. Lovely property, nicely tuckedaway but easily accessible. Would highly recommend the property to anyone although the spiral staircase may be challenging for some.
Lovely property and very enjoyable stay would recommend to others 5

Brilliant accommodation and lovely decor. The owners have thought of everything, it really feels like home from home. We have rebooked for next year and can't wait to return.

Louise
We had a really lovely stay and would definitely love to return. The house was extremely well equipped and maintained and we absolutely loved it!
Awesome property and we really enjoyed our stay. To add to other comments, the exterior photos are a little deceiving in that the back yard area looks to be attached but is actually across the road and you will have neighbors in the same building on both sides. Would highly, highly recommend as it is a great property with lots of space and some nice high end features! Thanks for letting us stay!
Chantal
We had a lovely stay here at the end of June for a week. The clock tower is an amazing place to stay, the location is brilliant. Great for walks and cycling. The welcome gifts of chocolates and prosecco, the tea, coffee, sugar and milk were all welcomed by us all, so thank you so much. The facilities are fantastic, so we wanted for nothing. Also, the lovely owner who maintained the hot tub every morning, would also fill the bird feeders in and around the beautiful garden, and it was a delight to watch the birds and squirrels albiet greys frolicking around.
Absolutely amazing property for our stay. The kitchen is fitted out beautifully with everything you could possibly need to entertain is provided probably one of the best I've stayed in. The log burner is fab in the very cosy living room. Beds were super comfy and the snug on the 1st floor is a great place to chill in the evenings or mornings when gathering with friends and family. The hot tub is a fab size and spotlessly clean , beach towels are also provided which is an added bonus. Take time to read the welcome book this gives you all the info you need very helpful. Thank you for the chocolates and tea coffee and hot choclate supplies nice touch. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be booking again. We met John the owner as we was leaving lovely man thank you, your family house is beautiful !
Hilary
We had a fabulous stay. The Clock Tower has everything covered. The place was picturesque, and the building was huge. All rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is superior to many we have stayed in, with everything you would need to cook a threecourse meal if needed. All towels were included, plus separate towels for the hot tub. The Hot tub had been checked over whilst we were out, we thought that excellent. Plus another nice touch was the gift of box of chocolates left on arrival in the kitchen. The beds were comfy and bedding of top quality, we all have the best sleep as it's so peaceful. The Bathrooms are arge and easy to manouvre, showers perfect and lovely and modern. The Garden was well manicured and had lovely setting and everything covered for a barbeque. Parking was great, I think we were the only people there for the 3 nights we were at the Clock Tower, so it was very peaceful. We loved the spiral staircase, but found it a little difficult, as we are an older crowd ranging from late 60's to late 70's. But we managed perfectly even with mobility issues. Overall, this was a superb stay, with everything in reach within a 15 minute drive, small towns in the lakes etc.with bars, cruising the lakes and wonderful restaurants It's truly an incredible place. Thank you.
Christine
The coowner, John, was very welcoming and helpful. The property is fabulous and as a family, we were able to make best use of the wonderful hot tub. Would definitely recommend.
This property is amazing, so clean and tidy and the hosts delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the extra little touches a fire ready to be lit and a welcome box of chocolates. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
A great stay at the Clock Tower and we were made to feel very welcome. Possibly one of the best kept properties weve stayed in and location was great for exploring both locally and beyond.
It was an excellent stay for 7 adults and 2 babies, reasonable price compared to rest of Cumbria and very well stocked house, with a great hot tub! Easy walk into Cartmel for a few drinks and food. Would highly recommend, the negative reviews dont really stack up, it is definitely as advertised and we never saw anyway else at the property!
Rebecca
Beautiful home, perfect location and friendly host. Provided a detailed handbook for places nearby and activities to do, which was very helpful. Would happily return again, hopefully for longer next time!
Richard
Fantastic week long stay at this property. House was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived. We loved the little touches that this property has, and you can tell that the owners haven't skimped on the quality of the items that they've purchased for the house. Lovely outside area, and also some fantastic walks around the local area. The Hot Tub is a great addition and was maintained every day.
The Clock Tower was a beautiful building and the owner had provided everything and more that we needed to enjoy the stay. The hot tub was well used and it was lovely to have our own garden with seating and BBQ. It was the ideal place to celebrate a special family birthday with three generations of our family..
Absolutely fantastic, lovely and clean, great location with great views. Family loved the hot tub , walking distance to Cartmel village.

Terrible customer service and a terrible property
Lauren
The Clocktower is an amazing place to stay. Its really comfortable, perfectly clean, and has everything you will need. The kitchen in particular is very well stocked with utensils, plates, glasses etc. The hot tub is great too. Its a really quirky property and it feels like the owners have put a lot of thought and live into it. It feels like a home away from home. It is really well situated as well so close to a lot of great pubs to eat in, shops etc. I would really recommend it!
Clock Tower is lovely ideal location. Enjoyed the most location character hot tub great selection of items in the kitchen generous welcome pack loo roll and all sorts met the owner. So lovely to talk to and attentive. children loved the TV corner on the first floor landing whilst adults enjoyed the log fire and quiet
Had a great stay at the Clock Tower over Christmas. The owners had put up Christmas decorations which was a nice touch. The house was perfect and better than the photos on the website suggested. Facilities were faultless. The hot tub was a brilliant addition and the log burner made for cosy nights in watching Christmas TV. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic location for a week's holiday with family aged from five months to eighty nine! Our two and a half year old GrandDaughter named Clock Tower 'her castle!' Boys loved their tandem sky dive experiences and we enjoyed seeing parachutes drop from comfort of beautiful garden. Hot tub an extra bonus. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
