Really good location in a lovely village and interesting, dramatic scenery. The property is very spacious. It's a bit tired and there are a few broken dining chairs etc. It could do with some extra cutlery and tea cups but these are minor things and it was a fun place to stay. It feels like being on a school trip, which is not surprising since it seems to be owned by Westminster school. We had lots of fun, the games room is great and the beds were comfy. Thanks

Lovely place to stay easy accses to house, great games room, plenty of space around the house.

The property was spacious, clean and had good facilities for a group of families. The double beds were comfy, bunk beds were okay. The games room and outdoor space was amazing and both kids and adults enjoyed it a lot. Nenthead and Alston are canny little villages for bits and pieces and we got a tesco shop delivered no problem. The only sticking point was the kitchen equipment. There was a lack of large pans and no lids so cooking for 11 was challenging. More baking trays and utensils would have made it. It wouldn't stop us going again, we would just have to bring some bits. Overall, we had a fab weekend and would visit again.

We had a lovely 3 night stay the emails about our key code on arrival and other useful info were helpful, and the online photos were accurate. The house is beautiful, and the spacious games room was a huge hit! We appreciated the very generous welcome pack, and the provision of staples like toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets etc. Nigel, the handyman, was wonderful, and quickly and efficiently sorted out a minor issue. We had a lovely outing to see the waterfall at High Force, and also enjoyed exploring the village and local play park. A memorable few days in a delightful house which was enjoyed by 9 of us aged from 70 to 6.
