Bank House Reviews

Jeanette
Bank House was a perfect match for our family, my only concern before we left home, not being animal lovers, was that the house would smell of dogs. I was totally wrong, the house was very clean and tastefully equipped with all our needs. Fully recommended, excellent .
Absolutely excellent place and service. A real cottage feel yet very modern and open. We were particularly delighted by the welcoming touches its so nice to sit down after the journey and start your stay with a drink and a biscuit! One small observation stairs were steeper than anticipated and you had to mind your head going up or down to the attic bedroom. Fine unless youre tall. Might be worth mentioning in the description.
Christopher
Very nice cottage right in the heart of Ingleton. Lovely quiet private garden area. Comfortable and spacious. Well equipped kitchen and living area. Recommended.
Bank House is in a prime location, with ample on street parking at the time of year we were there. Short walk to lots of pubs, restaurants, coop, chippy etc. The house had everything you needed for your stay but felt that with a bit of tlc it could be so much better. This is why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5. Good value for money though.
Great location in the centre of the village. We were a party of 6 adults, one child and a large dog. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house is very welcoming and cosy. We loved the garden which has a covered and heated patio but also a real sun trap for al fresco breakfast. We had a great stay, thanks.
Bank House is ideally located in the centre of the village. It is a nice size and had all that the 2 families needed for the long weekends stay. The heating worked well especially in the freezing snowy weather. The welcome basket was a lovely find. It is a nicely equipped and clean place to stay. Thank you.
Michael
A lovely property located in a great position. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Nicola
Lovely holiday cottage in centre of Ingleton village spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Enclosed secure garden was great for letting dogs out late at night and early morning too highly recommend and would definitely book if in the area again.
Bank was amazing inside ,I am a gardener and ime sorry to say the back garden ... Bank was amazing inside ,I am a gardener and ime sorry to say the back garden was below standard weeds and dead plants in pots ,and blackcurrant which I cut out with scissors as my 3 year old pricked his hands on ,it was well situated for the falls and swimming pool and park , coop and bars nearby ,the cottage itself was cosy too cosy upstairs as towel rail radiators were on hot when heating wasn't on ,I think the family room is in wrong place as the stairs are very steep for a toddler ,would be better in downstairs double room if possible ,all told very clean very welcoming ,if the back garden had some care some bedding in pots and weeding it would have been more pleasant to sit out
The property was clean and well equipped and is ideally located for a group doing the 3peaks challenge. Ingleton is a great little village with ample pubs and the cafe above the climbing shop does a great breakfast. The village parking was only a short walk and very reasonably priced and didnt charge overnight. The only thing with the property that needs repair is the digilock on the rear gate which requires adjusting, it could still be opened when in the locked position.
Louise
Was a great property and fit our whole large family plus dog in! The outside area was an added bonus we spent a lovely sunny afternoon in it after a full morning walking! Would defo visit again and recommend to others.
A really nice clean comfy and warm house and situated right in the middle of Ingleton with shops and pubs a minute away and walks from the door.
Richard
A great house in the centre village ideally located for local shops but also great access for the dales. Well equipped, warm, comfortable and great value.
Fantastic place to stay, especially when there are two families as the rooms are spacious. Perfect location in the centre of Ingleton with everything you need within the village and great walks nearby. Lovely basket on arrival too that is as much appreciated, would definitely recommend this cottage.
Elizabeth
Lovely property in a beautiful village highly recommend it
We were a party of four adults and one dog and found that there was plenty of room for all of us at Bank House. The kitchen was well equipped and included a slow cooker, which we thought was a great touch as we could prepare a meal before we went out for the day. The garden was a real asset too, with plenty of seating to follow the sun as it moves around, if youre having a relaxing day. The location was fantastic. Ingleton is not a large place but Bank House is just steps away from some great pubs, the OPO micro bar, the chippy and a few shops and cafes. There is a great range of information leaflets and booklets in the house to give you inspiration for day trips. The only things I would have changed were to have a washing up cloth sponge supplied rather than a brush just my preference and more importantly, I found the beds too small as we are used to a kingsized bed. Kingsized beds would have perfected the stay!
We had a lovely stay at Bank House with our two small dogs. Cottage had everything we needed and was a great place to relax in the evening after enjoying our adventures during the day. Great location for some lovely walks, including one on the Barbon estate followed by a fantastic bacon sandwich at The Churchmouse cafe in Barbon highly recommended.

Welcome basket very good Armchair needs cushion replacing very flat
Kristian
Great place to stay, cozy and clean. Fantastic location aswell. A nice little garden in the back. Lots of local pubs, restaurants and shop's. Thanks
Jacqueline
It was a lovely house, right in the heart of the village. We had no issues with parking, found a space up the hill. The house was comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. We all did the Waterfall Trail which we loved and a few other walks. The village had a brilliant pub The Wheatsheaf, great food, went there quite often and they dont mind muddy boots or dirty dogs. All in all a great stay.
Yvonne
As a woman, I felt that each bedroom room could do with a mirror and close access to a plug for drying hair, ect. Sounds very vain but essential to me. No other issue's. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and well presented, in a lovely area, great for exploring and walks are fabulous in this area and nearby, which is what I came for.
