Budle Granary Reviews

Very nice accommodation but unfortunately the freezer was frozen solid and unusable. Luckily there was a smaller fridge with small freezer compartment that held our frozen items. Garden well kept with nice seating area.
Victoria
The Granary is in a lovely location and garden fantastic for dogs and kids. Parking for 2 cars. Inside the house was slightly disappointing. Broken plinths cobwebs on the sides of the cupboards. Cushions in the room were disgusting had spills and stains on them and smelt. Fire not cleaned out had been left from previous guests. Under the kitchen sink was disgusting too. Had to give it a clean out and no bin liner in bin. Beds not brilliant but plenty of clean towels and bathrooms clean. I think whoever cleans the house needs to be checking for the things we picked up on. And the smell in the front room was strong. Maybe some shake and vac may help. The microwave didnt work either but we did get a call on the Saturday morning to see how things were and we told them about the microwave, they came and brought a stand by one for us . The house is lovely just needs some TLC. And its not cheap so it really should be maintained and checked . That said we would go back if it was .

A gorgeous property, delightful location with budle bay in walking distance. Bamburgh a quick drive down the road. The Granary is spacious and clean and great for a get together. Loved it!

We loved this house. Very comfy, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Plenty of parking for 3 cars, secure garden for the children, and a barbecue was provided. 2 minutes walk to the nearest beach, and an easy walk to Bamburgh in half an hour. The scenery in the area is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do locally.

We really enjoyed our stay at Budle Granary. A lovely cottage in an excellent location. Some points to note There was dog poo in the garden when we arrived. The shower in the family bathroom was unusable as the doors were hanging off we managed to fix. It would have been helpful to gave a BBQ included in the property description. Similar comment for the Nespresso coffee machine.
A fabulous, well appointed property. Just what we wanted. The location was good and the garden very nice and secure which was good for our dog. We will probably book again next year
Lovely Easter break. Gorgeous house and garden. Easy access to beach and beautiful walk to Bamburgh castle. Loved our stay

Lovely stay only issue was the kitchen lights on one side didn't work
Budle Granary was absolutely perfect for our 2 families. It has plenty of space and was very comfortable. Our two labradors were living their best lives, spending all day at the beach and lying by the fire at night sheer bliss!
I did feed this back to your customer service already. The dishwasher is awful. The rotating arm cant turn if dinner plates are on the bottom. The dishes are left with a film all over them. I cleaned the filter and it made no difference. We had no hot water Friday evening, most of Saturday and Sunday evening. I appreciate you sent someone out but there is clearly an issue with the timing of when it comes on. This was a challenge with a not properly functioning dishwasher. If you have autumn winter guests it would be nice to have a basket of logs for the wood burning stove or directions to where you could buy them locally. There is no grill pan for the oven .

Our only negatives are more of a reflection on previous occupants than the accommodation. The kitchen bin hadn't been emptied and was full of rubbish and the dishwasher was full of dirty crockery. Both the recycling and outdoor bin were full. So we emptied the bins and ran the dishwasher. The house itself was lovely and everything we needed it to be for our stay would definitely recommend. Suggestion to maybe make more of a point to the people making the booking about the expectation to put the bins out for collection on Wednesdays. We looked it up in the folder but the collection calendar was from 2023 and when we put the postcode in online it couldn't give us the collection date. So we put both bins out and the recycling was emptied. But the rubbish bin will be too full for anyony else to be using really it was basically at the top before we arrived and our 2 bags of rubbish then filled it.
We had a wonderful stay in 11 the granary . .it was in a great location quiet with pleasant views from the garden . Beds were very comfy .. kitchen well equipped..Nice hot showers. We would love to come back . Had a problem closing one of the windows which was quickly rectified . Only one bad comment wheelie bins were full when we arrived so had to take garbage to waren campsite to dispose looked like hadn't been empty for a while . but Didn't spoil our holiday just a bit inconvenient.

Lovely place, great location highly recommend

Hi I would like to speak to someone in regard to our stay at the Granary please? I have left two messages but heard nothing back. We left a day early as we could not settle due to the invasion of privacy and unclean downstairs. Please contact me asap. I have been using Northumbria Cottages for over 8 years and stayed in this property before but it was a very different experience this time. I would like to explain my disappointment in detail if someone can contact me please? Kind regards Suzanne Adgar

A lovely comfy house with plenty of space for a family of 5 and 2 dogs. In a great location for exploring and a short walk down to the nature reserve and round to the beech. The house had everything we needed and more. Thankyou
Lovely property and ideally located for coastal walks, visiting the castles and beaches of northumberland.
Myself and 6 friends had the most wonderful weekend at Bundle Granary. It's the perfect size for a group of 7 with lots of space in the living and kitchendining room. It's very cosy even on cold days. The building itself has lots of character and is very close to the beach. Just a few things to be aware of, you need to bring your own toilet roll and toiletries including soap for some of the bathrooms. We would have preferred if these were provided. Also the mugs appeared to have been soaked in bleach and not rinsed so we had to re wash everything we drank out of. These are, however, minor practical points and we would absolutely recommend staying at the house and hope to come back in the future.
Lovely property in a great location, very clean and comfortable kitchen excellently equipped and we all enjoyed our stay in Budle Bay. But we were surprised to discover there were no rubbish bags no bags for laundry no toilet rolls and I found the towels though serviceable were smaller than I expected in such a property.
We loved our stay. Thank you so much. The only constructive feedback is it would have been nice to have a hairdryer. Seemed to have everything else! The bed in the puffin bedroom was very creaky and could do with an oil or something.
A lovely warm and welcoming cottage. It is beautifully decorated and presented property that has obviously had a lot of thought put into it. It is spacious and we had plenty of room to accommodate 4 adults, three children and a dog!
One of the best appointed self catering properties we have stayed in, and in a great location. The property, fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality.
This is a lovely spacious holiday house, perfect for a large crowd, with everything we needed to have a wonderful week reunited with our extended family. The location is perfect for walking from the door and driving a bit further to explore pretty local towns and beaches. The outside and inside spaces are just great for being together in.
Good beach location just a fifteen minute stroll. Garden has the sun for a large proportion of the day, for relaxing on site. Good kitchen dining area, which was ample to house two dogs too.Lots of crockery, glasses and cutlery makes life easy. Comfy, cosy sociable space. gateway to lovely Northumberland!
A great property for all the family and the enclosed garden helped contain our three year old. Kitchen had everything we needed.
Excellent property for a family. Very well equipped and furnished. Really good location, near to the beach.
A fabulous property in a beautiful location. Instantly felt at home and the property had everything you need. It was clean, cosy and comfortable.
A lovely property with plenty of room. Everything you require in a home is supplied. Just a little out of the way for shopping if you are going to self cater. Nearest large store is the Coop in Seahouses otherwise you have to go to Alnwick. Could not have asked for a better property, enjoyed by all the family.
This was one of the best holidays so much to see and do up there and having dogs made welcome was wonderful. Easy walk to a fabulous coast and so many other walks and places to visit. It truly is a magnificent county. The Granary was great for 8 people and everything was there that we needed. Also spotlessly clean. Will definitely be back.
