Ingleborough Reviews

Jackie
Fabulous accommodation and everything you want within walking distance. . we have already rebooked for later in the year
Stephen
This deserves 10 stars! We had multiple birthday celebrations all over 1 weekend 1 80th, 3 50ths and an 18th and so booked Pen Y Ghent and Ingleborough for all 16 people, and a dog, to stay in. With ages ranging from 17 to 85, we had trouble finding suitable accomodation for everyone but these 2 houses fitted the bill perfectly. Right next to each other, excellent location, hot tubs, plenty of space, they ticked everybox for us. Both properties are truely stunning, exceptionally well furnished and immactulately presented. It takes a lot to stop the mother in law talking, but when she first walked in she was silenced and walked around with her jaw open admiring it all. This alone was worth it! The kitchen has a vast array of equipment, utensils, plates and crockery and with such huge dining table, we could all eat and drink together. The younger ones in the group, enjoyed the guge tv and the fast wifi and comfortable sofas in the front rooms. Everyone commented on the excellent bedrooms, noting expecially how comfortable the beds were. Those with an ensuite room found the walkin showers very handy, especially the 85 year old Father in law who does have some reduced mobility. The location is perfect for a 2 minute stoll into the town of Kirky Lonsdale and all its shops and pubs, and about a 10 minute walk to Devils bridge with the excellent butty van. We have stayed in multiple holiday cottages over the last 10 years and genuinely, these 2 properties are right at the top of the list for quality, location, facilities and enjoyment. Don't even hesitate to book either property, you will not regret it.

Had a wonderful week with friends over New Year in this superb and well appointed accomodation. The experience was further enhanced by the fact that my wife left her Kindle in a bedroom....and the owner arranged to post it back free if charge. Sykes Cottages also were very helpful in retrieving this item. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Beverley
The accommodation was very well equipped and comfortable. Perfect for 4 couples and 2 dogs. Bedrooms were spacious with super comfortable beds and great showers. The hot tub was a bonus. The house was all decorated for Christmas, which was lovely. Excellent location, short stroll to the shops, bars and restaurants.

We all had a wonderful time living in the Ingleborough. Our only gripe is that there was no dish cloths, washing up liquid or tea towels for us to wash up. We did use the dishwasher but any odd cups, plates etc used after the dishwasher was finished we couldnt wash them up. Also there wasnt many toilet rolls provided.
Cheryl
Great property in the beautiful village of Kirkby Lonsdale. Excellent facilities at the house and easy access to various places in the Lake District. I saw in another review the hot tub jets weren't very strong each jet can be altered so I think the jets were just turned down when that person visited.
Great location, super property for family gathering. Very clean and modern. Couldnt ask for more. 5 min walk up the hill from the high street with a brewery part way!
This is the third time we have stayed at this accommodation, still amazing however, the little personalised touches are missing which adds the sparkle and justifies the jump in price tag such as bubble bath, robes & hampers etc. that is no longer the case. Kitchen is slightly worn now however still very luxurious
A lovely spacious home, very well equipped. Family enjoyed the hot tub very much. Would thoroughly recommend.
Nicola
Ingleborough was a fabulous find for our family get together of 8 people plus baby plus dog as it is very spacious and well equipped with ample parking. The attractive decor and very comfy beds made for a lovely stay. Situated within close proximity to the amenities and walks of Kirby Lonsdale. Would highly recommend!
Brilliant place to stay, so much space for everyone, very private plenty of parking, ideally placed for Kirby Lonsdale just a few minutes walk away. Enclosed garden for the dogs. Just one thing, the hot tub was a bit too hot and the jets were not very strong. We hope to be back
Lindsay
Fabulous accommodation in a great location. Everything to hand locally there were three generations in our party and everyone enjoyed the facilities at Inglethorpe, from the books to the games to the Hot tub fantastic. Will recommend to friends.
We absolutely loved our stay. The house is spacious, well equipped and near to all local amenities. We will definitely be returning.
Excellent holiday home for a group of friends. Very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room to get together or spend quiet time alone. Good communication with the owner who attended to a small issue immediately. Close to all local amenities good parking.
Richard
