Budle Sands, Bamburgh

Stayed at 10 Budle Sands with 6 adults a child and 2 dogs. Fantastic stay. Comfortable and large enough for everyone to not fall over each other. Good secure garden for the dogs.

Budle Sands is a beautiful property, very well situated to explore the Northumberland coast. The house is very well equipped, spotlessly clean with a lovely, enclosed garden which was great for the dogs. We had a problem with hot water in one of the showers but this was dealt with straight away. The only thing we would have liked was a barbecue and some comfier outdoor furniture but otherwise our stay was superb.

A well equipped and furnished property in an ideal location for touring the north east coast. The photos of the property show a BBQ next to the shed. When I arrived I asked where it was and was informed that it was the owners and not listed with the property. If this is the case why show it in the photos? The provision of a BBQ would enhance the overall holiday experience. A BBQ was provided at the neighbouring property.

The house was much more than we expected, immaculate, well planned and top appliances. My only recommendation would be a child gate on the stairs we had 3 grandchildren twins 20 months and a 3 year old. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful location. Lovely cottage which was extremely well equipped. Enclosed garden perfect for our 2 dogs. Only one negative point several of the windows need maintenance to allow ease of opening shutting

What a fabulous place! The house is beautifully appointed, well maintained & stocked with all the necessaries along with very comfortable beds & bed linen. The availability during a fortnight stay of linen & towels 'refresh' was an added bonus too. The position is superb, being very close to Banburgh, Seahouses & Beadnel plus a matter of yards from the vast beach. Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did & relaxed in the secure garden. Thank you We very much hope to come again.

Our family of seven spent Christmas week at this beautiful property. It is in a great location just outside of Bamburgh which has lovely pubs, restaurant, butchers and deli. The Aga took some getting used to as there was no instruction manual. I would definitely recommend this property to other families.

The cottage was as described, lovely and clean with all the kitchen appliances we required for our week's stay. Our only regret was there wasn't a shower facility in the upstairs bathroom, as we all took showers rather then baths so the downstairs shower room was busy. We experienced a problem with the downstairs toilet constantly flushingoverflow but was quickly fixed following a call to the company. The cottage location was lovely, and we experienced an awesome sunset on our last day.

Absolutely lovely house and secure garden which was just perfect for our labradors and us Plenty of space, home from home kitchen with every utensil and cooking implement you could want. Bathrooms were great, plenty of hot water at all times of the day, beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Thank you also for the prompt help from Sykes, Northumberland Coastal Cottages and the lovely guy who came out, when the lock broke. Within an hour we were back in the house, everyone couldnt have helped us more. And Mike suggested a great walk for the dogs the next day!!! Overall fir our first but not last visit to Northumberland a fantastic week in an amazing location and house. Thank you.

We couldnt really fault the lovely house and garden. Everything was clean and well prepared and the walled garden was lovely to sit out in and safe for the dog. A beautiful area for walking and enjoying the gorgeous Northumbrian coast and countryside.

Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Access to the beach for the dog is easy and within a 5 minute walk, but theyre restrictions at the moment due to nesting birds April so we went down to Bamburgh beach where there isnt any. Would love to return, shame we could not stop longer.

Location is fantastic and the property itself was even better than in the pictures. It had everything you needed to make it home from home. The kitchen was fab and had every appliance you needed to make family meals. Couldnt ask for anything more!

The house was beautiful, exactly as described and shown in pictures. We booked Budle Sands as a suprise holiday for our parents 60th anniversary and for a family of 8 it was perfect with large living spaces for playing games with the children and a fully enclosed garden for the dogs

Absolutely delightful property with high class white goods unusual in my experience! . The decor was gorgeous, particularly in the kitchen. We'd love to return, possibly with friends as there were only the 2 of us plus dogs to fill the house up. Couple of things, a pair of Aga gauntlets would be much better than the oven gloves provided heat protection and length of gauntlet for protection, plus we had a few issues with the lock on the main door not reported as it seemed to occur more over the weekend and then we left on the Mon.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location. The WiFi code was wrong but a quick phone call resolved the issue. Loved the Aga oven it was so easy to use. Would definitely recommend

The drainage was blocked, it ruined our stay, so we had to leave early cutting of family holiday short.

A Lovely Cottage with Some Disappointments Rating I recently had the pleasure of staying at 10 Budle Sands Cottage and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The cottage itself is charming and has a lot of potential to be a perfect holiday retreat. However, there were a few disappointments that prevented it from being a truly exceptional stay. Let's start with the positives. The cottage itself is lovely, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The interior design is tasteful and the furnishings are comfortable. The rooms are wellappointed and provide a comfortable space to relax and unwind. The location is also fantastic, with beautiful views and easy access to nearby attractions. However, there were a few issues that detracted from the overall experience. Firstly, the lack of basic amenities such as toilet rolls and tea towels was quite surprising. These are essentials that one would expect to be provided in a holiday rental, and it was inconvenient to have to purchase them ourselves. Additionally, the inadequate supply of cleaning products made it difficult to maintain cleanliness throughout our stay. The outside grey bin being already half filled with rubbish meant we had to find somewhere to dispose of our rubbish on our way home! Another disappointment was the lack of Christmas decorations. We had booked the cottage during the holiday season with the expectation of a festive atmosphere. I had contacted the booking company to ansk if the cottage was going to be decorated annd was told it would be! Unfortunately, there were no decorations or festive touches, which was a letdown. Despite these shortcomings, I must commend the cottage for its potential. With a little more attention to detail and ensuring that basic amenities are provided, this could be a truly exceptional holiday destination. In conclusion, 10 Budle Sands Cottage has the makings of a wonderful holiday retreat. The cottage itself is lovely and the location is fantastic. However, the lack of basic amenities, inadequate cleaning products, including washing powder for the washing machine and the absence of Christmas decorations were disappointing. This house is beautiful to live in. Lovely enclosed garden, spacious kitchendining area. Aga takes a bit of working out but you enjoy it when you have mastered it. Beds comfortable and bedding perfect for the temperature. Very handy utility room. Towels were fluffy and great quality. Location good for Bamburgh. Lots of public footpaths to walk safely there or the option to take a beautiful stroll along the beach to the castle. There is also a bus stop just over the road The dishwasher sometimes filled with water after using, but it didnt hinder us and probably is easily fixed. The local residents were so friendly. We had a wonderful stay and perfect for our family ranging from 11 months to late 60s. Extra care is needed on the staircase and a stair gate if children are younger.

Just Wow. The cottage is incredible. It's fantastically spacious, beautifully appointed and the additional touches such as welcome cleaning pack, bottle of wine and biscuits were a lovely touch. The location of the cottage is superb being just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach. We did have an issue with the dishwasher on the first night so phoned Northumbria Cottages on the Saturday morning and a chap was out fixing it within 2 hours could not have asked for any more.

Lovely place. Great location. The cottage is lovely. Being new to an Aga it takes a bit of getting used to. But easy enough to figure out. The hot oven isnt hot enough in my opinion. The grass was very long, apart from looking untidy it makes it more difficult for a toddler to wander around. A few shelves in the showers for shower gel etc would be handy. But overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to friends and family.

Weve stayed here a couple of times now and I can honestly say its such a lovely place the beds are so comfortable and fantastic quality bedding which makes a huge difference to a good nights sleep! Its surroundings make it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland.

Budle Sands is in a lovely setting, with a glorious beach being in walking distance. The property is wellmaintained, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our week here and found the staff at Northumbria Coast and Country very helpful.

Excellent property with excellent facilities. Little extras such as kitchen roll, washing liquid, torch all really useful. Fabulous and spacious with fab kitchen and Aga. Would definitely stay here again.

We were a mixed group of ages, ranging from young children to mature adults. This property was well suited to everyone&39s needs and we were very impressed with the standard and quality of the property. It really is a beautiful property in a great location for first time explorers to the Northumberland coastline.
