The kitchen seats 12 at the wooden table with two ovens, two dishwashers and American-style fridge-freezer.

Beatrix Potter's Hill Top (8 miles, 20 minutes) shows where she wrote her stories. Grizedale Forest (11 miles, 25 minutes) has mountain biking and Go Ape. This house is amazing. The decor, the views and everything about the property are outstanding and well worth the cost. The welcome package and other extras were a nice touch. All communication with the property owners was very easy and they were very helpful. All my guests had a wonderful time and would book this property again.

The house is absolutely beautiful. All the furnishing are high quality, comfortable and cosy. Decent cooking facilities- could do with a few more bits for keen cooks. Great and easy 10 min or less walk to the town or to the lake side.

The house itself is stunningâ??beautifully decorated with a cozy lodge feel that immediately made us feel at home. The space was impressive, with plenty of room for everyone, and the bedrooms were all furnished to a very high standard, which added a lovely touch of luxury. The kitchen and dining area were especially impressive and became a perfect spot for gathering. A few additions, like a hot tub, games room, or play area, would make it even more family-friendly, but overall, we had an incredible stay and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!
