The house was a lovely size with plenty of space and the enclosed patio was perfect for our dog to have a wonder and lovely to sit out in. We were blessed with sunshine and lovely weather for most of the week which made having tea outside really nice almost every evening. Exceptional Bedsmattresses. The best holiday sleep I have ever had. Was wonderful being so close to an all year round dog friendly beach that was also extremely clean and just a few minutes away from the house. Pele Tower and the beautiful walled garden are both worth a visit and are a few minutes walk awayalmost next door. You can also see the walled garden from the upstairs en suite. Cresswell Ices sells sweets and a few beach things and has lovely homemade ice cream with a variety of flavours. Situated just by the beach entrance. Theres a few choices of Supermarkets Aldi & Asda close by and a Morrisons in Morpeth. Morpeth was a great place to visit. Lots of shops and cafes and a pretty market place. Only 2030 mins away by car. Had a fantastic holiday and wanted to stay longer. The treats were lovely too. Many thanks.
Absolute gem of a location. Comfortable, clean and well maintained. The space is perfect for a family stay and the layout makes it very sociable. Sitting outside in the totally enclosed back bit enjoying early morning coffee was great. Beach 5 mins away and it is totally dog friendly. Lovely 56 km circular walk from front door is also great for dogs. We will happily go back and stay again.
A beautiful accommodation with everything you could ever need. great quality, comfortable beds too The patio garden was fully enclosed with plenty of seating available. The walk to the beach isnt too far and adjoining the property to the rear is a gorgeous walled garden. Key instructions were clear as were directions to the property. We welcomed the milk and treats left for us. A really beautiful, and well run holiday let.
Our 2nd visit to Asta cottage and it was just as good as our first. We love the beach for our morning and afternoon walks with our 3 dogs. The large , paved and secure courtyard provided safety for Our dogs and a sunny retreat for us at the end of each day . It is spacious indoors and suitable for families or a group of friends. A really good base for exploring the area .

We had a really lovely week. The house was perfect for the 6 of us with an age range of 86 to 4. So close to the beach which was our idea of a perfect one, sand and rock pools! Also plenty of other things to do in the area including bird watching and Vindolanda. We are trying to plan another visit in the future.

A clean ,warm and welcoming cottage where dogs are welcome. The secure courtyard area was spacious and secure. Maxine the owner is close by and able to respond quickly should any problems arise. The beach at Cresswell is a five minute walk away . Its clean and ideal for a morning dog walk.There are so many more beautiful beaches nearby to explore. To note is some dogs may dislike the wooden floors and a stair gate would be useful. A lovely holiday home in a lovely area and we hope to visit again.
Asta Cottage is in a brilliant location to explore Northumberland. The owner was so helpful with information and guidance prior to, and during, the visit. The cottage itself was very comfortable with a very wellequipped kitchen. It was very clean and spacious as well as feeling cosy! For a family of eight attending a wedding locally, it was great to have three bathroomsshowers and wellplaced mirrors!! The parking was easy, even though we had more than two cars. Lovely spacious house in a great location. Well equipped for both people and dogs. Thoughtful welcome pack and plenty of beds, bowls and towels for the dogs. Lots of seating both in the kitchen and lounge for everyone to sit and dogs loved the cushions provided for them in the floor. The enclosed backyard was great for dogs to explore safely and the beach just a 5 min walk away.

Asta cottage is perfect especially for large family groups. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very welcoming. Lovely welcome pack much appreciated. Everything in the kitchen we needed. Lovely large lounge for us all, the sofas are lovely and comfortable. It was lovely to sit at dusk and watch the bats flying past the windows doing their food hunting over the large grassed area at the front of the property. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for the four generations of our family. Lovely large bathrooms. The children and the dogs were very happy in the outside space, the table and chairs very comfortable for meals outdoors. Perfect location for us. Beach a very short stroll, the walled garden next door was an added bonus, especially as a few years ago it had been overgrown alongside the ruin of the pele tower, the restoration of both is fantastic. After many years walking past Asta cottage it was a pleasure to actually be inside it looking out! Maxine was lovely and was available anytime if we had needed her, which we didnt as everything was perfect. A big thank you to Maxine and her cleaning ladies
Loved staying at Asta cottage was lovely and clean. Equipped with everything you could think of that you would need. Loads of space. Yard out back was great for the dogs and children to play out. 4 minite walk to the beach was great and also the grass out the front was a bonus for letting the dogs strech their legs before bed. Very dog friendly which is always a bonus for us with 4 dogs!

This is a very spacious cottage, with a very large lounge. Everything you need for a great family holiday. We were here in July, and with good weather made full use of the courtyard garden. The beach is only a couple of minutes from the property. Maxine the owner is very helpful.
This house is perfect for large families with multiple dogs. Very spacious with enclosed external patio which was more than ample for our 5 dogs, including a great dane Cottage fabulous, immaculate and very well equipped. 3 minute walk to the beach and a super cafe just across from the dunes. We will be back

Just got home from our 2nd stay at Asta Cottage and this property does not disappoint us humans or our four legged friends. Big, spacious, clean, comfortable, pet friendly with a very large enclosed garden and 5 minutes from the beach. We all had a fantastic stay, the well equipped kitchen suited our self catering needs and the huge lounge was great for relaxing in the evenings, dogs had their own beds too. Talking of beds, super comfy was the overwhelming opinion. We had the best weather too, managed to sit in the garden every day, what a sun trap. The ice cream shop is a must for a delicious treat. Such a pet friendly area.

We were a group of 4 couples and 4 dogs and we had a fantastic holiday ! ! The cottage had been recommended to me by a friend and it didnt disappoint. Its very spacious but still warm and cosy , and its very well equipped. The bedrooms are all a good size and the beds are very comfortable. Theres a great size table in the kitchen which meant we could all gather round to eat and chat . The outdoor space is excellent and due to the amazing weather, we were able to make great use of it . The beautiful beach is a couple of minutes walk from the door and we were lucky to have endless blue sky and sunshine as we walked on it for miles ! Thank you Maxine for a great stay , well be back

Asta Cottage is ideally located with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and perfect for groups of up to eight. Our dogs loved the supplied cushions by the log fire! The owner was very helpful and easily contactable. Nothing was too much trouble. We wont hesitate to revisit in the future.

Asta cottage was a delight everything you need for a relaxing comfortable stay very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Maxine the owner was very attentive and was kind enough to leave a fabulous welcome hamper.There are lots of great walks and the beach is a few minutes walk down the road .Our 4 dogs had the best time ever Maxine provided beds,bowls,towels and even some treats for them.Thanks again

Cottage was lovely, well furnished and well equipped. In a lovely location with plenty of walks for the dogs. More than dog friendly with loads of beds and blankets left for the dogs to use as well as treats, toys, dog shampoo etc. There were also plenty of board games for the adults to use too! Only things we could have done with was a stair gate and fire guard. We were travelling with a 3 year old who was into everything, he had quite a nasty accident when he fell and bumped his head on the hearth which could have been prevented with either foam around the hearth or a fire guard a fire guard would also prevent little fingers from touching the fire when on as the fire is quite large and sticks out quite a bit we didn't use it during our stay because of this. But overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend for anyone to stay here!

We had a wonderful time at Cresswell. Asta cottage was very spacious for our multi generation holiday. Having three bathrooms was a definite bonus and the children loved the space to play both indoors and out. As a family with different dietary needs there was plenty of space and equipment in the kitchen to have two people cooking seperate meals, or on occasions even more. Asta cottage is one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in and would definitely return. A lovely welcome pack was also provided. Maxine's communication was really good and we would like to give her and her team a huge thank you.
A family of 8 with grandparents and three dogs stayed at Asta Cottage. We loved it! It is so homely. Very pet friendly beds left for our three dogs. A lovely welcome package when we arrived. The kitchen is very well equipped with a lovely big kitchen table. The bedrooms were lovely with very comfortable beds. Plenty of room in the living area with four sofas and a huge log burner. The garden was fantastic a great size to sit out, the kids to play along with the dogs and is very secure. The location of the cottage is perfect as it is minutes away from the beach. Fabulous beach walks and pretty central to visit lots of different places.

Had a fantastic stay at Asta cottage! The house was so spacious and location was perfect. Loved our strolls along the green to the beach which was perfect for the dogs. The master suite was huge and had an amazing view to the walled garden of Pele tower which was also worth a visit. The lounge was great for film nights and everyone had a sofa! We all thoroughly enjoyed the week and are missing our evening strolls on the beach which felt tropical as the sand is so white and the water so clear!
This cottage is in a brilliant location just 5 minutes walk from beautiful Cresswell beach. Its spacious and comfortable home from home. Every need is catered for including the dogs. They really enjoyed sitting on the dog cushions with us in the lounge. The cottage is ideally located for the numerous historic sites and beaches. We have returned from a fabulous stay at Asta Cottage. The accommodation is so lovely, well equipped, very comfortable and great location. Next door to the Pele Tower and Walled Garden which can be seen from one of the bedroom windows. A short walk from Cresswell beach. There were 4 adults and 4 dogs staying and the dogs were as well provided for as the adults with beds, bowls, treats and towels. The enclosed yard was a big bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again in the future.

4 adults and 6 dogs stayed, the cottage is well equiped for 6 dogs providing dog beds and bowls. The outside enclosed area was dog proof and safe. The owner is very attentative to ensure that your holiday goes well and is well informed about the area. Would definately recommend this cottage and will be going again. Some friends of ours is already interested in booking this cottage.

Although we had packed prepared for our dogs there were bowls towels beds and some treats provided as well. A lovely welcome pack. We did take logs and a couple had been provided but the fire is a monster so best off being more prepared. Although the cottage was warm and cosy anyway. We ate at the driftwood cafe and the Greek there on the evening which was pricey however the food and service was fantastic. We didnt need to venture out of cresswell the whole weekend spent our days walking up cresswell beach and across to durridge bay both were dog friendly and full of dog walkers. The driftwood cafe is also dog friendly. We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider returning.

We had a lovely time at Asta cottage. Cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. Extremely clean. Lovely welcome package. Owner was extremely helpful with a few queries I had. Great location as we loved being able to walk to the beach and walk along it.

We had such a lovely stay in Asta Cottage for our Christmas celebrations. We arrived the day before Christmas Eve for a 4 night stay with my family including 3 dogs. We arrived to some lovely treats we enjoyed during the stay but what was particularly lovely was the beds layed out ready for our dogs and treats for them. Its so nice knowing that our fur family are as welcome as we are, it really adds to the experience. Maxine could not have been more helpful before our stay and during. It was a busy time for everyone preparing for Christmas but she took the time to make it special. The cottage is ideal for a family with a very large living room and plenty of seating which makes a difference as we have stayed in a lot of other places when you have to either squish up on settees or get dining chairs in the room. The cottage was clean and well maintained. We would love to stay in the summer months as the garden area is lovely. One of the best parts though is how close to the beach the cottage is. You can see it from the house and very easy to get to. One tiny addition that we would have found helpful would be to have a coat rack in the corner as you come in the house. With the weather being mixed we had a lot of big coats that were wet and needed carrying through the house. Thank you for a lovely stay.
